Will work for cat food

I guess with the lack of blogging I've been doing lately, there are a lot of questions about what's new in Happy Valley (that's what they call State College for those who aren't in the know)...

I'm currently in the process of trying to find a new job.  I was working as the Staff Artist for a local screen print shop.  It was a great gig - the pay was decent, the people I worked for cared and I pretty much go to call my own hours - as long as the work got done.  And then the money ran out and they had to lay everybody off.  They hope to bring us all back when things improve, but we could be looking at another six months before that happens... and my cat's gotta eat!

It's a tough job trying to find a job.  I'm scouring the web daily for both freelance and full time positions and I think I have a resume and/or portfolio on about twenty different sites.  I'm also taking advantage of this time to pad out my portfolio and resume by learning and brushing up on skills that will help me when I finally get that job.  Today I rendered a complete drawing in Illustrator.  I'm attaching it here so you can see the fruits of my labor.  The first image is the sketch I started with, the second image is the drawing I did in Illustrator and the third is the finished colored image after I ran it through Photoshop.
For the record, yes that's me and no I'm not wearing clothes.  It's not because I'm too broke to have any clothes... I was in the shower when the idea for this drawing came to me.  Somehow the birthday suit seemed appropriate.

I guess that's it for now.  Leave comments and let me know about a cool new job you found for me or give me an idea for something else to draw or just say hi.

Peace and stuff.
