It was a great weekend!  Last night was Heather's surprise birthday party - even more notable to me because it's the first one I actually took part in planning.  It went off without a hitch and even more importantly, she LOVED it!  I didn't get a lot of pictures but I'll try to plug my camera in tomorrow and see if there was anything worth posting.  Let me just say that my favorite part of a surprise party is the look on the face of the one being surprised... and Heather didn't let me down.

Today I went to watch my friend Kevin speak at a local church on the topic of HIV/AIDS.  He did a great job and afterward we went for breakfast with the Pastor and his family... it was a good conversation and I'm excited by some of the things I heard discussed.  There's a change in the air...

Unfortunately, I'm afraid I didn't get as much Sabbath time today as I would have liked.  I'm not sure how I'm going to make up for it, but I recall a few weeks ago missing a Sabbath and how it threw my whole week off track.  I don't want that to happen again.  I think I'll go to bed now and do a little reading before I turn off the light.

Oh yeah, any ideas how I can get more people to read/comment on this site?  I guess if someone responded then my problem would be solved.
