“Why blame the dark for being dark?  It is far more helpful to ask why the light isn’t as bright as it could be.”

I read those words in Rob Bell’s Velvet Elvis yesterday and they’ve been rattling around in my head ever since.  It’s funny that I’d picked the book with no real interest except that it happened to be popular at the time and now that I’ve read it I find a kindred spirit who has put into words a lot of the thoughts I’ve been wrestling with in the last couple of years.  I guess that’s my book review:  “If you want some insight into the way Kevvo thinks, read this book.”
