The Harvey Tour

I'd actually meant to mention something about this a week and a half ago when it arrived in the mail, but I thought I should give it a listen to a couple of times first... surprisingly, I've not been able to find any other reviews online yet, so I guess I'll be the trend setter!

I've mentioned Coyote Grace on here a couple of times before and now I'll do it once more - this time to tell you about their new album, The Harvey Tour.  It was recorded at concerts over the course of last year when they were riding around in their RV they named "Harvey."  It's actually a collaborative effort with another singer, Courtney Robbins, who's singing range seems to fall nicely in between that of Joe and Ingrid.

Overall, it's a great album with some tracks from their previous cd as well as a few covers thrown in for good measure.  (Among them is a cover of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm on Fire," and I think they do a better job than the Boss on this one.)  Listening to this album reminded me of the concert I went to a couple of months ago and the conversational snippets were a fun touch.

My only complaints are that they didn't include the song Picture Frame on here - but I guess that'll be a treat I can hope for on the next album.  Also, I think the only way you can order a copy of the cd at this point is to email them.  But do it... it's worth it!
