A friend of mine contacted me last week to let me know that he's pursuing trying to find a book publisher in the hopes that he'll be able to have a collection of devotionals marketed.  As if that weren't exciting enough, it was suggested to him that he have cartoons to compliment each entry (cartoons are actually very appropriate as he's got some pretty humorous stuff!) and he contacted me to see if I'd be able to put something together for him to use in his pitch.  Of course I jumped at the idea and now I'm left to wait to see what happens.  That's where the prayer request comes in... not just for this opportunity for me - or even for him... the things he's written are thought provoking and inspiring.  It would be a positive and life-giving thing for many people.

As for an update... well, I still don't have a "regular" job, but I've managed to snag a couple of freelance things and that's giving me something to do - and making me feel a lot more encouraged.  I could still use prayers for my job search, whether it's for something more steady or increased freelance work, and ultimately finding a place to live.  I've been squatting for a month and a half now and I'm ready to have a place to stretch out in and unpack.  I'm hopeful and I trust God.  He's got something bigger than I could plan for already in the works... I look forward to telling you all what that is... once I figure it out!
