I Got a Job!
Yes, that's right... all of the prayers have paid off! I just came back from an interview at the bookstore on the University of Indianapolis campus where I was hired for a temporary position. I'm still going to have to look for something a little more long term and I'm still eager for whatever freelance work I can pick up, but this should be the financial jumpstart I've needed to help me get my own place to live - and I will be able to *finally* unpack! (SO tired of living out of boxes)
As I was contemplating this job (I found out about it on Friday) I was thinking about my granny who just died and how she made a career out of working for a college bookstore. There was a little nostalgia in the idea that I could be following in her footsteps... if only I could write her about it - I think she'd smile.
Anyway, now that I'm done with the interview and I've posted to get everyone up to speed, I have a freelance project that needs my attention... thank God for work!
Thanks again for all your prayers and keep praying as I continue to try to figure out what's next and how exactly I fit in the life of Indianapolis.
