Dinner and a... Photo?

I meant to post this yesterday night, but by the time I would have gotten to it I'm not sure how coherent the entry would have been... and I'm loopy enough when I'm wide awake!

The refrigerator that has been a challenge since I moved in was finally fixed yesterday!  The entire saga surrounding it involves a lot of discouragement and frustration so I'm not going to relive it just yet... instead, I'm going to focus on the cold milk and cheese I'm able to keep and the money I'm going to be saving when I don't have to go out to eat every night!

So now that I'm able to do the grocery shopping that I'd been putting off... and I forgot how expensive groceries can be!  In an effort to cut costs, I bought one of my less favorite entrees - hot dogs...  I know that I loved these as a kid, but somehow age has changed my opinion of them in favor of chicken and fish.  Still, they are an easy and arguable tasty meal that still manage to bring back some memories.

It's been awhile since I've posted any photos on here so I'm attaching a photo of my first home-cooked meal at my new apartment:

This is the hot dog and squirt dinner I prepared.  You'll notice it's on one of my new plates (with matching bowls in the top left) and surrounded by new glasses and a candle.  My phone is also there and the entire scene was squeezed into the only available six square inches of space to be found on my new coffee table.  Since then, I've managed to clear a lot more space off, but this photo is an indication of the amount of work I've got ahead of me!

Oh, as a side note, I found out tonight that I didn't get the job I'd interviewed for and had been praying about for the last few months.  It's discouraging, but I trust that God has another plan for me and I'm going to continue to be faithful as I wait to see how this comes about.

Funny...I just rediscovered my love of hotdogs, via SmartDogs. I'd eat them just about every night if I could. Maybe you just need to go vegan...?

Sorry to hear about the job.
