That's right, I'll be in Michigan this weekend (car willing) as I try to do a whirlwind tour of Christmas with friends and family.  It seems like the story is always the same, I can only schedule two or three different get-togethers so I plan for a short trip, but then I get there and I realize all the other things I want to do and I suddenly wish I'd made plans to stay another few days.  Alas, the money for food and lodging runs out too quickly and I'm reminded that it must be a short trip after all...

At this point it looks like I'll be leaving sometime tomorrow (Friday) afternoon and returning Sunday evening.  I think I'll be staying in the Lansing area Friday and Saturday nights so if anyone's there and wants to find time to hang out, let me know - I think my evenings are gonna be pretty open...  my cell's the same as always!

On an unrelated note, I listened to a sermon today that got me thinking about God as an artist - but not in the conventional way it seems like He's been portrayed before.  This was only a peripheral element to what the message was about so I still need to wrap my mind around it, but it should give me something to blog about while I'm chilling in my hotel room one evening this weekend... look for it!
