Days Without Sunshine

If you're in Orlando (and I know some of you are), you should check out an exhibit currently showing at  The Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Community Center of Central Florida called "Days Without Sunshine: Anita Bryant's Anti-Gay Crusade."  It will be running until January 28.

Bryant's "Save our Children" campaign that influenced Florida's gay-adoption ban in 1977 was chronicled in the recent movie Milk and is the thrust of this exhibit which has been traveling since it's unveiling earlier last year.  While the topic isn't particularly happy, it's a very informative exhibit.  I just wish I could find a schedule to see where it's headed next to see if it's coming to Indy, but maybe if someone goes to see it in person they can find out for me!

For those unable to visit the exhibit in person, here's a link to get a preview.
