I'm Back Again

Hello, blog.  I've missed you*...  It's not that I haven't thought about you the last week or so, I've just been consumed with the things of life and I didn't want to spend time with you just for the sake of spending time - I wanted it to be quality.  Yes, I sat down a couple of times to post something, but the words wouldn't come.  I felt too inadequate to the task.
*And you, too, reader.  Blog is just a little more consistent in making it's presence known so I'll direct my apology to it... but know I've thought of you, too...
But I'm back**.  Ironically, I had two ideas of things I wanted to post today, but one of those ideas needs a little more time to percolate and the other idea is over three weeks late in posting*** (though it's not my fault - I only became aware of it today) - so I'll share the one and steep the other and I look forward to having the opportunity to sit down with you again soon...
**From outer space.  I just walked in to find you there with that sad look upon your face.  I should've made you... er... nevermind.  Every time I read that phrase the song just wants to get out!

***As of February 2.
When I arrived home from work this evening, I found a package sitting outside the door to my apartment that contained three different versions of the book I'd participated in illustrating last fall.  I've mentioned the book on my blog and now I'm happy to say that it's available for purchase online or in bookstores (I think).

For those who are interested in buying it, this is a book of poetry written by a single person but illustrated by an army of creative people who paint, draw, sketch and print.  What's more, most of the artists are currently students, so the potential for creative output is only beginning... I'm glad to have had the chance to be a part of this project.  I have three pieces in it**** and I've gotten word that this is only the first of three books that will be written and illustrated the same way - I hope to report on my participation again!
****I'm not sure what pages they're on, but I did look them up and they're in there!  Of course, now that the book's published, I suppose I could post the images on here - but that wouldn't be as much fun!
