Busy, Busy, Busy
It's been a busy couple of weeks here as the freelance work is starting to pile up*. I know I'd mentioned in previous posts that I'm looking for work (and I still am), but I'm hoping I'm setting myself up to be a little more selective about the work I start accepting. Not that I'm complaining - I've had fun working on the projects so far - but I'd like to start dabbling a little more in illustration and a little less in design.
*I've got projects to work on the rest of this week and another one due on Tuesday - with still another collaboration in the works and interest from yet another client - phew!
Speaking of illustration, I was asked by a client to create three cute critters: a puppy, a kitty and a teddy bear. I drew all three this afternoon and submitted them, but I got an email back a short while later with a photo attached of a "cute" teddy bear - evidently that was his way of telling me my teddy bear wasn't cute. Hmph! Since I currently don't have a use for this particular drawing, I thought I'd post it here and see if anybody else thought it was cute or if the unanimous decision is that I need to go back to the drawing board*:

While I'm at it, I'd like to get some painting in during the next week or two. I've been wanting to do it for some time now, but I'm hoping that by posting it here I'll be motivated to actually follow through... but until I do, praise God for the abundance of work to keep me busy!
