Below the Fold... for Now

Guess who's on the cover of the Sun Sentinel this morning?!?

If you guessed Pedro Riera of Fort Lauderdale you'd be right.

And if you guessed me, you'd be right too*!
*Sort of... I'm not actually on the front of the paper, but my illustrations and signature are...
It's true - I'm currently working on a cartoon advertising campaign with a local dining room showroom and as part of the campaign, they're advertising on the front page of the Sun Sentinel every Friday morning during the month of August... so my work is also on the front page of the Sun Sentinel every Friday morning during the month of August.

While it's not entirely my work - they provide the copy, not me** - it is my illustration and it's good exposure.  It's also the first time I've done comic strips since 2006 and the first time I've drawn comic strips since 1999 (the comic strips I did later were composed of photographs I took)... but the best part is that it's getting me back in practice and inspiring me to do some more of my own comic art work.
**I actually created the first comic based on my own copy and it wasn't quite what they were looking for, but they're the customer so they must be right, right?!?
Perhaps on this very blog.

Oh, and if you can't see it so well on the above picture, here's what the comic strip looks like close up:
