My Weekly (Sometimes More Often) Chore

I hate shaving my head*.
*It should be noted that for the sake of this entry, "shaving" is actually "clippering" (aka "using clippers to leave 1/8" of hair) but that just doesn't sound as fluid and I'm not sure everyone would understand the term.
I realize I'm not going to get a lot of sympathy from women who have to shave their legs - after all, shaving your legs is more time consuming and it involves a lot more surface area so there's no competition, right?

Wrong.

While it's true there's more surface area involved with shaving legs, I would suggest that it takes about as long for me to shave my head... if you count the initial shave and then the subsequent shaves that occur over the next few hours every time someone notices another spot that was missed or I run my fingers over my head to discover such a spot myself**.  Then you have to add to that the time it takes to clean the bathroom***, and then re-clean the bathroom when I realize I've missed a few hairs... I think it actually takes longer!
**It's hard to get the spots on the crown of my head near the back - I don't know if it's because of the shape of my head or simply that the hair grows in every direction... either way, there always seems to be the hairs that got away.
***Because unlike shaving legs with a razor in the shower, I have to shave my head with clippers at the sink so hair gets EVERYWHERE! (in the sink, on the counter, on the floor, on the toilet, on the soap, etc.)
One could ask why I don't use a razor.  I used to and it was faster - but vanity has reared it's head and I like the way I look better with a dusting of hair all over.  Of course I'd rather have a full head of bleached hair like I did only a few short years ago, but male pattern baldness has reared it's ugly head**** and I refuse to get hair plugs.  I'm just trying to go with the "God made me this way" position.
****Thanks, Mom! (One of the silver linings is that I can blame her for this because they say male pattern baldness comes from the mother's side... and my grandfather used to tell us how he was nearly bald when he was 27!)
Anyway, this is why I don't do it very often.  If I can get away without shaving more than once a week I do...

On an unrelated topic, I was asked to render a crazy old man losing his marbles and here's what I've come up with:

He doesn't look exactly like I want him to, but this is also the first time I've painted in Photoshop in a couple of years so I'm a little rusty - plus I did the entire image in only a couple hours.  Give me time and I'll be back to doing better.
